It started with a  WIld Soul.....

Wild Souls Ranch is run by Founder and Executive Director, Savanah Mccarty, whose dream has been to teach the "at-risk" youth of Humboldt County a strong work ethic while helping them build a foundation of emotional support and provide them a place for healing. After the abandonment of her mother as a young child, and being made a ward of the state of California, Savanah turned to horses to help her heal, and teach her a new way of life. It was the simple things like cleaning stalls, grooming horses, feeding, and riding that truly made a difference in her life. By starting Wild Souls Ranch, Savanah whole heartedly believes that she can inspire the youth in her program to embrace relationships, hard work, and work through the weight of their past to move towards a brighter future. The kindness and guidance of one woman, who took a broken six year old under her wing 24 years ago, has created a legacy. That legacy will change many more young wild souls for years to come.
